The moment that everyone was waiting for impatiently arrived, South Africa has finally won the WTC final 2025 mace after defeating Australia in the finals at Lord's. After an epic victory in the finals, Kagiso Rabada, who turned out to be a hero for his team, stated that for the final he can also put his body on the line for South Africa. Rabada took 9 wickets against Australia at Lord's and played an important role in helping the Proteas win the trophy.

In a recent interview, Rabada said that he does not consider himself the biggest star of South Africa, but he wants to dedicate his life on the ground to his country.

He said,

"I do not consider myself a star. I see myself as someone who is willing to give his blood for this team and continue to work hard and improve. I always want to improve as a cricketer and play for the badge with a lot of pride."

Rabada took 5 wickets in the first innings, which put his team in the forefront of winning despite being 74 runs behind. Even after this, he showed amazing performance with his spells and stopped the total at 282, which South African opener Aiden Markram achieved with the help of a brilliant century.

After this, Rabada said,

"I am working very hard, and those spells in the second innings are the ones that matter more, when you are a bit tired. You can be behind the game, or you can be ahead of the game. This time, we are behind the game. But I think it was just about staying calm and looking at what is in front of us. That's how I see myself."

If we look at the last few ICC tournaments, the Australian team has been very good competition for South Africa, but Rabada is very happy that they defeated the defending champions because they once again arrived as big contenders for the trophy.
