BCCI relocates cricket series to Delhi, Chandigarh, Rajkot

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a major update on June 9, changing the venues of some important home series to be held in India this year. These changes include the Test series between India and the West Indies, the India vs. South Africa Test series, the Indian women's team's ODI series against Australia, and India A vs. South Africa A.

Women's ODI series now from South to North India

It was decided that the Indian women's team will play three ODIs against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. But now this series has been shifted to North India. The first two matches will be held on September 14 and 17 at the New PCA Stadium, New Chandigarh (Mullanpur). The third and final match will be played on September 20 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. This change has been made due to the renovation of the outfield and pitch at the Chennai Stadium.

India A vs South Africa A ODI match to be played in Rajkot

South Africa A team is coming to India to play two unofficial Tests and three ODIs. The Test matches will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as before, but the ODIs will now be held at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. The purpose of these changes is to ensure better facilities and preparation of the ground.

Changes in West Indies and South Africa Test matches

The senior West Indies team will visit India in October this year. The major change in the two-Test series starting on October 10 is that the second Test, which was earlier to be held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, will now be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

On the other hand, the South African team will also tour India in November. Earlier it was decided that the first Test match of the series would be held in Delhi, but now it has been shifted to Kolkata. The second test of this series will begin on November 14, whose venue will remain the same as the first.

BCCI's aim—to give the best experience to both players and fans

The BCCI has made these changes keeping in mind the convenience and better condition of the grounds. In a city like Chennai, repairs to the pitch and outfield are underway, so the matches have been shifted to places where all the facilities are already ready.

It is also a good opportunity for fans to watch big international matches in their cities. This is especially good news for fans of Delhi, Chandigarh, and Rajkot.

In this way, the BCCI has shown that it not only cares about the needs of the players but is also taking every necessary step to give the fans a memorable experience.
