In the last league match of IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 6 wickets to secure a top-2 place in the playoffs. The match was played on May 27 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, where RCB achieved the target of 228 runs in just 18.4 overs.
After this win, RCB has 19 points from 14 matches and will now be facing Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 on May 29, Thursday at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium. The special thing is that RCB has become the first team in IPL history to not lose a single away match in the entire league stage.
In the match, Lucknow batted first and scored a big score of 227/3, which included Rishabh Pant's brilliant century. In reply, Jitesh Sharma scored 85 runs for RCB, Virat Kohli played an important innings of 54 runs and Mayank Agarwal scored an unbeaten 41 runs to give the team victory.
