Aakash Chopra Predicts MI vs RCB In IPL 2025 Final
Aakash Chopra predicts that Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians will face off in the IPL 2025 final. Both teams must win their upcoming matches to secure a spot in Qualifier 1. Mumbai Indians play Punjab Kings, while RCB faces Lucknow Super Giants. Chopra believes Mumbai's strong performance makes them a formidable contender for the final.
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra believes that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will be clashing with each other in the final of IPL 2025. At the moment both the teams have to win both of their respective matches, RCB from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and MI from Punjab Kings (PBKS), to qualify for Qualifier 1.
Mumbai Indians will be clashing against Punjab Kings on May 26, Monday, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be clashing against Lucknow Super Giants on May 27 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. The winner will be directly making it to the finals, whereas the losing side will be getting one more chance by playing it in the eliminator.
In a recent video shared by the former cricketer on his YouTube Channel stated that the ups and downs in the IPL 2025 made MI's path clear for making it to Qualifier 1. He said,
"Mumbai wants to win this match, and if they win, they will finish in the top two. It didn't seem like this could happen. This never looked possible at all, but all the other teams have dropped so many matches that it seems like it could happen now. If they drop this match, they won't qualify (for qualifier 1). It's not that they have been given it on a platter."
"FINAL WILL BE MUMBAI-RCB" - AAKASH CHOPRA
Further, he said that scales are in the direction of Mumbai because the team is looking better; it is difficult to stop them.
"I feel the scales are tilted towards Mumbai because the team is looking better. They are moving like a juggernaut. It seems slightly difficult to stop them. I feel Mumbai and RCB will finish as the top two, and the final will also be Mumbai-RCB."
