Axar Patel brought some hope with a blazing 43 off 23 balls (3 sixes), but Narine dismissed him at a crucial time. Tristan Stubbs was out cheaply, while Faf du Plessis held one end firmly, anchoring the innings with a valiant 62 off 45 balls, including 7 boundaries and 2 sixes.

Viraj Nigam tried to pull off a late heist with a fiery 38 off 19 balls, but the required rate proved too steep in the end. DC could only manage 190/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
