Sunrisers' Ishan Kishan & Nitish Reddy Dance To 'Kurchi Madathapetti' Becomes Internet Sensation
Sunrisers Hyderabad players Ishan Kishan and Nitish Reddy entertained fans with a hilarious dance to the Telugu song 'Kurchi Madathapeti' from the film Guntur Karam. While Ishan danced enthusiastically, Nitish initially hesitated but eventually joined in, creating a lively atmosphere. The team's on-field performance has been disappointing, with only two wins out of seven matches, placing them 9th in the IPL 2025 points table.
In a recently organised special programme, Sunrisers Hyderabad players Ishan Kishan and Nitish Reddy won the hearts of the audience. The two players were seen dancing to the tunes of the famous song "Kurchi Madathapeti" from the Telugu film Guntur Karam. When the host asked him to do some dance steps, Ishan danced happily. At the same time, Nitish was a little shy at first, but then he also created an atmosphere by doing some steps.
The song is from the 2024 film Guntur Karam, composed by Thaman S. The lyrics have been wrote by Ramjogaya Sastri and sung by Sahiti Chaganti and Shri Krishna. The song was released on 30th December 2023 and became a hit very quickly. It remained at the top of the Billboard India Songs chart for 38 weeks. It featured Mahesh Babu's strong dialogue and Srileela's superb dance. The song crossed 600 million views on YouTube in 425 days.
Although Hyderabad started with expectations when it comes to performance on the field, the team's performance so far has been disappointing. In the first match, Ishan Kishan scored a brilliant century, but after that he did not appear in his rhythm. Nitish Reddy has also not been able to make any big score so far.
The team's batting also seems to be struggling. Only lower-order youngster Aniket Verma is showing some hope and recently Abhishek Sharma scored a century against Punjab Kings. Sunrisers Hyderabad have won just 2 out of 7 matches so far and are placed 9th in the IPL 2025 points table, just above Chennai Super Kings. In such a situation, the team now desperately needs to unite and improve performance.
