Rohit Sharma expressed his support for Abhishek Nayar on social media after the BCCI removed Nayar as assistant coach. Despite Nayar's sacking, which was decided without consulting Rohit, the captain's post highlights their deep friendship and mutual trust. The decision follows India's 1-3 defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, sparking controversy within the team management.

There is a big news in Indian cricket these days. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sacked assistant coach Abhishek Nayar after just eight months of his appointment, but team captain Rohit Sharma posted a special post on social media in support of him. Rohit thanked Abhishek as "bhai" after playing a brilliant unbeaten 76 against Chennai Super Kings. It is clear that there is a deep friendship and trust between Rohit and Abhishek.

After Gautam Gambhir became the head coach, Abhishek Nayar was appointed as the batting coach, Ryan ten Doeschate as the fielding coach and Morne Morkel as the bowling coach. But in a recent meeting, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia and coach Gambhir decided to remove Nair. No opinion was taken from Rohit Sharma before this decision, while the decision to bring Nair into the team was taken with Rohit's consent. It is being said that after India's 1-3 defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, there was a complaint about the dressing room news coming out, due to which this action was taken. Although the change was not made at that time, as the Champions Trophy was around the corner, now that the Indian team is not playing any matches, the BCCI made a change in the staff.

Along with the removal of Abhishek Nayar, fielding coach T. Dileep and trainer Soham Desai were also dropped from the team. Both of them had been in office for more than three years. However, some people in the team management are questioning Abhishek's ability. "If Nair was such a good coach, why was Sitanshu Kotak added before the series against England? And if they were so important to KKR, why didn't the team win a title from 2019 to 2023? But in the midst of all these questions, Rohit Sharma's support shows that not everyone is unanimous about this decision within the team.
