India-Pakistan Rivalry: Former Pakistani Cricketer Gives Bold Challenge to Indian Team
The cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan is one of the greatest rivalries in history. But for the last few years, there has been a big difference in the performance of the two teams. Recently, during the Champions Trophy 2025, when India and Pakistan were face-to-face, India defeated Pakistan badly and also knocked them out of the group stage of the tournament.
Looking at some of the previous matches between the two teams, it is known that the rivalry between the two teams has come to an end because now the matches between the two are mostly one-sided. However, Pakistan's great cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq is not ready to accept this.
During a recent conversation on a channel, Saqlain challenged India and said that they should play 10 Tests, 10 ODIs and 10 T20 matches with Pakistan, to prove whether they are really a better team or not. "If we keep political things aside, they have very good players and they are playing good cricket," the former Pakistan spin bowler said during a panel discussion. If you are a really good team, I think we should play 10 Tests, 10 ODIs and 10 T20 matches against Pakistan, then everything will be clear. Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was also part of the panel discussion.
There have been a lot of changes in the Pakistan team in the last few years. Whether it is the captaincy, the selection committee, the management or the board officials, many big personalities came and went in every position. During this time, their performance has also been greatly affected, which has only worsened. Saqlain also believes that all is not well in the Pakistan team at the moment, but it is not something that cannot be fixed with the right intention.
"If we prepare properly and solve things in the right direction, we will be in a position where we will be able to give a concrete reply to the world and India," Mushtaq said. The Indian team currently plays against Pakistan only in ICC and Global tournaments. There is no scope for any bilateral cricket for now.
