Gurugram's Manu Gandas shot an error-free five-under 31 on the first day of the Rs 1 crore Gujarat Open 2025 here on Tuesday, taking inspiration from his previous win at Glade One Golf Resort and Club. Chandigarh's Yuvraj Sandhu and Mhow's Om Prakash Chauhan, winners of the PGTI season-opener in Kolkata last week, finished tied second with a score of 4-under 32.

Karnal's Rohit Narwal and Hyderabad's Mohammad Azhar finished fourth at 3-under 33. Defending champion Abhinav Lohan shot a two-under 34 to finish sixth. The first two rounds of this event include nine holes each. The cut will be applied after 18 holes. There will be 18 holes each in the third and fourth rounds.
