Abhishek Sharma was the hero of India's spectacular victory on February 2, Sunday, at the Wankhede Stadium. He registered his name in the list of many big records with this powerful knock, and with this, India also made many records in the game. His incredible century was a major factor in Team India's brilliant batting performance in the fifth and final T20I match of the series against England. He played an incredible knock of 135 runs off just 54 balls; the left-handed opener stunned the English bowlers and broke Shubman Gill's previous record of 126 not out, setting a new Indian record for the highest individual score in T20I.

Apart from his batting, the 24-year-old also made a notable impact with the ball; he teamed up with Varun Chakravarthy and Shivam Dube to take two wickets in the same over. Mohammed Shami emerged as the best bowler of the day, taking a total of three wickets.

Abhishek Sharma completed his half-century in just 17 balls, making him the second-fastest Indian player to reach this milestone. The only player to achieve this milestone is his mentor and idol Yuvraj Singh, who scored a fifty in just 12 balls against England in 2007.
