The Indian star batter Virat Kohli made his return to domestic cricket after 12 years; fans excitement to witness him was on another level at the Arun Jaitley stadium. The thousands of fans gathered in the stadium from the morning just to see a glimpse of Kohli playing. But things have different plans, or there's nothing wrong in saying that Railway pacer Himanshu Sangwan had different plans for him.

At the start of Day 2, Delhi was 41/1, and Kohli was yet to bat. He came out to bat at No. 4 for Delhi in the first Ranji Trophy match after more than 12 years. After he entered the field, fans at the stadium started to chant in support of him. His presence on the field was for a very short period of time; he was sent back to the pavilion by Himanshu Sangwan by letting him play only 15 balls.

After the day's play, Sangwan talked about Kohli's dismissal to the media. He stated that Kohli's wicket was a truly special moment for him as he inspired many people in this country and all around the world.

Sangwan also talked about the crowd's attendance in the stadium due to Kohli. He said that the game gained more importance, which feels like a motivation for other players.

"With Virat bhaiya coming in to play in the tournament, the Ranji Trophy gained more importance lately. It feels motivating and good for players like us as well."

On Day 2, a crowd of more than 15,000 people attended the match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, which saw an increase in more security on Friday.

The 29-year-old pacer also said that they got to learn a lot from them in order to know how to play, train, and many more things. He highlighted the point by saying that sharing the dressing room with Kohli is a huge thing that benefits all of them.

"We get to learn a lot from them (players from the national team playing in Ranji). About how to play, how to train, and so many more tidbits. Sharing the dressing room with them is a huge thing that benefits us all."
