The clash between Delhi and Railways in the Ranji Trophy got very hyped as star Indian batter Virat Kohli made his comeback after almost 12 years. After the end of the first day, Delhi was at 41/1, and Kohli was yet to bat on the second day. A large amount of audience was present at the ground on Day 2 to witness Kohli's magic on the field. However, the much-anticipated return of him turned out to be disappointing when he was dismissed for just six runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday by Himanshu Sangwan.

As earlier mentioned by Delhi's skipper Ayush Badoni, Kohli coming to bat at No. 4 was the only scenario. When he entered the ground to bat on the second day, thousands of fans started to chant in his support. His presence on the field was for a very short period of time; he played only 15 balls before he was clean-bowled by pacer Himanshu Sangwan in the 28th over. Before dismissal, Kohli smashed a boundary on the previous ball. This time Kohli tried something different by not getting out on an off-stump ball.

On Day 1, Railways posted up a score of 241 in their first innings, with wicketkeeper-batter Upendra Yadav scoring 95 runs off 177 balls, smashing 10 fours and a six. Delhi's bowlers tried their best to restrict Railways, but still they put up a score of 241 on the board. Currently, Delhi's skipper, Ayush Badoni, is leading the team from the front, scoring a half-century, and Sumit Mathur (29) is helping him to chase down the target.

After Kohli's early exit, fans left the ground with disappointment. Kohli and both fans will be looking forward to seeing a blistering knock by him in the second innings.
