Moin Khan Advises Pakistani Players to Avoid Friendships with Indian Cricketers

Moin Khan Warns Against Friendliness with Indian Players Before Champions Trophy

Former Pakistani cricketer Moin Khan has a piece of advice for his nation's players before the match against India in the Champions Trophy 2025. He believes that players should stop being friends with Indian players. India and Pakistan will clash with each other on February 23 in Dubai in the upcoming tournament. Due to political tensions and security reasons, Team India will not be traveling to Pakistan. They will be playing all their matches in a hybrid model in Dubai.

In a recent podcast, Moin said that being friends with Indian players is something that he doesn't find good.

"I just don't get it when I watch Pakistan and India matches these days, as Indian players come into the crease, our players check their bats, pat them, and have a friendly talk. Nowadays our players behavior when playing against India is unfathomable to me. Even off the field as professionals, you have to have certain boundaries."

Further, he said that being friendly with Indian players is a sign of weakness.

"Our players always told us that when playing against India, give no quarter and no need to even talk to them on the field. When you get friendly, they see it as a sign of weakness."

The 53-year-old also said that their team players don't understand this, and being friendly on the field is a sign of weakness, and automatically players come under pressure.

"I think our players don't understand this, but being too friendly is seen as a sign of weakness on the field, and you automatically come under pressure in your performances."
