The legendary Australian batter Steve Smith has completed his 10,000 runs in Test cricket on the tour of Sri Lanka in Galle on Wednesday. He etched his name in the fifth spot of players scoring the fastest 10,000 runs in 205 innings. Among the Australian players, former skipper Ricky Ponting achieved this milestone in only 196 innings. No player has scored this many runs in Test cricket like Smith in his prime. In the start of his career, he played at No. 6-9 and made it to the middle order in 2013 against India. He played his first innings at No. 5 in Mohali, scoring 185 runs off 92 balls.
