England won the third T20I of the five-match series against India by 26 runs at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Jos Butler's side bounced back strongly in the third T20I; efforts were seen from both ends in bowling and batting. After the loss, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav talked about the main areas behind the defeat. At one point, India was on top of the game, but the whole game changed when the last two wickets added 43 runs on the scorecard, taking the score to 170. After this the Indian batters failed to achieve the target, and the visitors registered their first victory in the series.

In the post-match presentation, Suryakumar Yadav said that he thought that there would be dew; Hardik and Axar already scored 55-58 runs in 24 balls, so they can still win the game.

"I felt there'd be a little bit of dew later on, and with Hardik and Axar batting in later on at 24 balls around 55-58 runs, we still had, I feel we still had the game in our hands."

"We'll go back to the drawing board" - Suryakumar Yadav

He also said that there is so much to learn from a T20 game and will go back to the drawing board to work on how they can be a better team.

"I feel you always learn something from a T20 game. I felt when we were bowling around 127 for 8 to 170, I think that was too much at the end, but yeah, that's something we can learn going forward, and also from a batting point of view, we got a lot of things to learn; we'll go back to the drawing board and see how we can be a better team."

"Credit goes to Adil Bhai" - Suryakumar Yadav

Further, Suryakumar Yadav did not forget to praise Adil Rashid for his exceptional performance. He said that the credit goes to Adil Bhai for bowling so well, not letting them rotate the strike, and this is a reason he's a world-class bowler.

"The credit goes to Adil Bhai as well. I think he bowled really well in those overs. We wanted to rotate the strike; he didn't let us. That's why he's a world-class bowler at that moment, and that's something to learn and to take it forward."

Adil Rashid took the wicket of Tilak Varma, who was the match-winner for India in the second T20I, giving away just 15 runs in the game.

Talking about Varun Chakravarthy, the Indian skipper said that he is the guy who works really hard during all the practice sessions, and that's the result he's getting on the field.
