Virender Sehwag, Wife Aarti Ahlawat Reportedly Set To Separate After 20 Years

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and wife Aarti Ahlawat are on the verge of separating after 20 years of their marriage. The couple has unfollowed each other on social media; sources also reveal that the couple has been living separately for several months. Their personal life has largely been private but now is under the public's eye after several developments.

Virender and Aarti's love story started in the early 2000s, and they got married in grand style at the residence of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitely in 2004. They have two sons named Aryaveer, born in 2007, and Vedant, born in 2010. The thing that sparked more speculation was the photos shared by Sehwag on Diwali, which featured his sons and mother but omitted to put any picture with his wife.

Just two weeks ago, Sehwag visited the Vishwa Nagayakshi Temple in Palakkad and also shared photos from his visit on social media. In that visit or photos, there was also no reference to his wife, which added more fuel to the rumors of their separation.

The 46-year-old retired from international cricket in 2015 and has been seen in various roles since then, which include giving service as a member of the Anti-Doping Appeal Panel of the National Anti-Doping Agency.

Over the years of their marriage, both stood like a strong pillar for each other, balancing their family life and cricketing commitments. However, sources state that there was something wrong between both of them for a long period of time, which is the reason for their parting ways.

As of now, neither Virender nor Aarti has made any official announcement regarding their separation.
