India's star all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy performed brilliantly in the recently concluded five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The 21-year-old played for the team in all five matches and scored a total of 298 runs. NKR was the second-highest run-scorer for India in BGT 2024-25, with a five-wicket haul in the series.  

After a stupendous performance in Australia, Nitish returned to India last week and visited the Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh on Monday. He shared a video on his Instagram account in which he is seen climbing the steps of the temple on his knees. Nitish's video is now going viral on social media.

Reddy made his Test debut for India in Perth on November 22 last year and was also the top scorer in the first innings. In the Pink Ball Test played from 6 December to 8 December, Nitish was the top scorer for India in both innings. His best performance came during the first innings of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne when he scored a century batting at No. 8. 

After the memorable series in Australia, Nitish shared a post on Instagram on Monday and wrote,

"From setting the alarm to watching Test matches in Australia to getting a first glimpse of Australian shores, the last two months have been nothing short of an opportunity to grow as a player and as a person. It didn't happen the way we wanted to finish the series. We'll come back, stronger and stronger. "

Nitish Kumar Reddy came into the limelight after his brilliant performance in the 2024 IPL last year , he performed brilliantly for SRH after which he was included in the Indian squad for the five-match T20 series for the first time in July.
