Jasprit Bumrah Leaves Field, Taken To Hospital For Scans During Sydney Test
The Indian stand-in captain, Jasprit Bumrah, has left the field on Day 2 of the Sydney Test with India's team doctor in between the game. He did come out after the lunch on the field but went back after bowling just one over. After that he was seen leaving the venue in a car with the doctor and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) manager Anshuman Upadhyay.
Bumrah was seen going back to the pavilion shortly but didn't seem to be anything serious. Now it seems there's something wrong with him as they rushed him to the hospital for scans. As of now, there is no confirmation or update from the Indian camp about him.
The 31-year-old stood like a lone warrior in the five-Test match series against Australia, where other players struggled. He bowled a lot of overs and took the most number of wickets in the series. On Day 2 of the Sydney Test, in the morning session, he bowled four overs and picked the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne, taking 32 wickets, which is the most by an Indian on Australian soil.
At the moment it is a reason of concern for Team India, as he is in the hospital for the medical scans. The whole team and fans will be hoping for Bumrah to come back in the Test. India has to win the Sydney Test in order to make the series a draw.
