Mohammad Amir Praises Virat Kohli, Laughs At Comparisons With Babar Azam

Amir Hails Kohli's Consistency, Dismisses Comparisons with Babar Azam

Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Amir praised Virat Kohli, describing him as the most successful player of this generation. He said that comparisons of Virat Kohli with Babar Azam or with any other successful players make him laugh. Many Pakistan fans compare Babar with Kohli, as the Pakistani star player has broken some of his few records in his career. However, this comparison leads to pressure on the Pakistan batter, which is somewhere the reason for his poor form in past years. Amir believes that Kohli’s consistency and ability to win matches for India make him different from all players all over the world.

Recently in a show, Amir described his thoughts on comparisons of Kohli with any other player in the world. He praised the Indian star batter for his consistent performance and game-winning ability, stating him as the greatest batsman of this generation. He believes that Kohli can’t be compared to any player because he has won so many matches for India, which is a bit impossible for any other player.

“Virat Kohli is the greatest player of this generation. I laugh when comparisons are made between him and Babar Azam, Steve Smith, or Joe Root. We cannot compare Virat Kohli to anyone because he has won so many matches for India, which seems impossible for any one player. Not just in one format, but in all three formats, Virat is the greatest batsman of this generation.”

Further, Amir said that Kohli’s ethics set him apart from every other player. The way Kohli performed after his poor form in 2014 is commendable, and his exceptional performance for the next 10 years is not ordinary.

“Virat Kohli’s work ethic set him apart from all players. After his bad phase in England in 2014, the way he made a comeback and then consistently performed brilliantly for the next 10 years was no ordinary feat.”

Once again Kohli is going through a rough patch in his career, scoring a century in Perth; after that he is seen struggling again to score big runs. The star batter will try to bounce back in the last two Tests of the Border Gavaskar Trophy and take a lead in the series; currently, the series is 1-1 after the third Test got tied due to bad weather and lightning.
