The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is at his best in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. He led the Indian side in the first Test at Perth, and the team won the match by a big margin of 295 runs. In the ongoing third Test of the series at the Gabba, Brisbane, Day 5, Bumrah has claimed 3 wickets, which include Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, and Pat Cummins. After taking the wicket of the birthday boy Khawaja, he completed his 51st wicket, equalling the Indian legend.

In the ongoing series, Bumrah is one of the key players of the team who not only contributed with the ball but with the bat also. In the ongoing Gabba Test, Bumrah, in the first innings, took 6 wickets, giving away 76 runs, whereas other bowlers struggled to take wickets and failed to perform. On Day 4 he contributed with the bat, helping India avoid the follow-on and get to 260 with the help of Akash Deep. He has now completed a double milestone with his powerful performance and is closer to Kapil Dev’s record.
