Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become the youngest millionaire in IPL history, bought by the Rajasthan Royals team for Rs 1.10 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction. He was bid on the second day of the IPL mega auction. No one expected that Vaibhav would be sold in such an expensive amount.

Suryavanshi is a resident of Motipur in Samastipur, Bihar. His father Sanjeev Suryavanshi opened up on after Vaibhav was sold for such a hefty amount in the 2nd day of the auction. He said,

'He is not just my bitwa, he is the bitwa of the whole of Bihar, my son has worked hard. At the age of 8, he excelled in the Under-16 District Trials. I used to take him to Samastipur for cricket coaching and bring him.

Vaibhav's father told how he sold the land to feed his son and play him cricket. Suryavanshi says that the financial condition of his house has still not improved. When his father was questioned how it happened in the auction, he told that Vaibhav was called in the trials from Rajasthan where Rajasthan's batting coach Vikram Singh Rathore gave Vaibhav a target of scoring 17 runs in an over. Vaibhav hit 3 sixes in the same over to show his talent to Vikram Singh Rathore.

With the sale in the IPL mega auction, Vaibhav has become the youngest player in IPL history. There is a lot of discussion about Vaibhav's age. Talking about Vaibhav's age, his father Sanjeev said,

"When he was eight-and-a-half years old, he gave the BCCI's bone test for the first time. He has also played India Under-19 before. We are not afraid of anyone. He can undergo any age test again. '
