Zimbabwe Triumphs Over Pakistan In Rain-Interrupted ODI
These days cricket fans all over the world are either busy in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy or IPL 2025 auction but on the other hand, an ODI series is also going on between Pakistan and Zimbabwe to which many are no giving much attention because of the other big things going on. Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan by 80 runs in the first match of the series, in the rain-interrupted match, Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Zimbabwe's opening batsmen shared a 40-run partnership. After this, Pakistan's bowlers started taking wickets continuously. Zimbabwe's batsmen could not even play the full 50 overs and were all out for 205 runs. For Pakistan, Agha Salman and Faisal Akram took 3-3 wickets.
For Zimbabwe, batsman Richard Ngarava scored the highest score of 48 runs, Sikandar Raza scored 39 runs. After the first innings, it was expected that Pakistan would easily achieve the target of 206 runs in the 50 overs. Pakistan's innings did not start well and both openers Abdullah Shafiq and Sam Ayub reached the pavilion to the score of 17. By the time Pakistan reached 60 runs, Pakistan lost 6 wickets. After the rain interrupted the game the match could didn't start again. DLS method declared Zimbabwe victorious by 80 runs.
A three-match ODI series is being played between Zimbabwe and Pakistan. After losing the first match, there is a big challenge in front of Pakistan. The second match will be played in Bulawayo on November 26. Pakistan's eyes will be to win this match to equalize 1-1 in the series.
