Yashasvi Jaiswal at the press conference said that Kohli has been scoring runs in Perth for a very long time but he watched him live from the stands for the first time and that was very special. He also said that they all were waiting for this hundred of him and he played amazingly.
“I’ve seen him score runs in Perth before. Today I saw him do that live from the other end. He has been doing this for a long time. He is just incredible. We were so happy about him, that he should finish it and then we can go out and field. I think that is what was going on, we were waiting for this hundred. And he played amazingly.”
This is Virat’s seventh Test century in Australia, the most by an Indian batter surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's record. He has equalled England’s Wally Hammond for second-most century in Tests in Australia. The most centuries in Australia is of England’s Jack Hobbs with nine tons. Virat has the chance to break this record in this ongoing series against Australia.
