BGT: Youngster Harshit Rana in intense battle with Prasidh Krishna for 3rd Pacer spot

The young Right-arm bowler Harshit Rana can pose a tough challenge to his senior player Prasidh Krishna as both players are in a tough fight for the third pacer's spot in India's final playing XI for the Perth Test against Australia starting from November 22.

India's rising fast bowler Harshit Rana can stake a strong claim for his selection ahead of Prasidh Krishna as the third fast bowler for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Rana has played only 10 first-class matches for Delhi but has jumped significantly in the rankings after his stellar performances in the Indian Premier League, where he picked up 19 wickets in his debut season with Kolkata Knight Riders.

According to some reports, Harshit Rana is constantly moving forward with his speed and his ability to gain bounce, which has impressed the higher management officials. Even during the practice session at the WACA ground in Perth, he made good use of his fast pace on many occasions.

India's bowling coach Morne Morkel has spent a lot of time with Prasidh, who was also quite impressive during his two unofficial Test matches for India A against Australia A in Mackay and Melbourne. The 28-year-old fast bowler has already made his Test debut by playing two Test matches.
