Adam Zampa's Quirky Hairstyle in T20I against PAK Becomes Social Media Sensation

Everyone’s attention was drawn to Adam Zampa, who was playing in his 200th international match during Australia’s recent T20I triumph over Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Zampa’s fresh bleached buzz cut stole the show on Saturday. Furthermore, it reminded the cricketing world of the famous blue hairstyle of Colin “Funky” Miller. The 32-year-old leg spinner is well known for his quirky hairstyles. His most recent transformation has become quite a talk on social media now.

Zampa revealed how he showed his new look to his teammates and,  during the post-match interview, said,

“I’m known for my funky hairdos, it’s good energy in the changerooms. I had my hoodie on for the whole bus ride here and revealed it in the changerooms and the boys got around it, so it's all good fun.”

Immediately, Zampa’s look was compared to former Australian off-spinner Colin Miller, who kept vivid blue hair during the Frank Worrell Trophy match against West Indies in 2000/01. His blue hair became widely famous during that time.

If we talk about Zampa’s performance, he took two wickets in the last match and helped Australia take the 2-0 lead against Pakistan in the T20I series. Spencer Johnson was the standout performer for the Aussies in the 2nd T20, as he took 5 wickets, giving just 26 runs. Zampa contributed by taking two wickets in a single over, dismissing Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi. The hosts won the match by 13 runs and secured the three-match series.

"We don't feel like the B team here. You see these guys in Big Bash and everyone says ... when they're scoring runs and taking wickets, they should be playing more for Australia and when they play more for Australia, they shouldn't be. It's great to have them out there. I wouldn't say they're 'B' cricketers at all," Zampa added.

Now Australia and Pakistan will face off for the third and final T20I in Hobart and look to whitewash the visitors. Meanwhile, for Pakistan, they will look to finish the series on a good note.
