Former India Player Proposes Key Alteration For Third T20I vs South Africa
Former Indian cricket player Robin Uthappa thinks that Ramandeep Singh should be given a chance in the third T20I against South Africa series. During a discussion, he pointed out that Ramandeep should be given a chance on Wednesday as he can provide team a decent bowling line up.
He said that the team needs someone who can bat and bowl, whether it’s a spinner or fast bowler, other than Hardik Pandya.
“You need an all-rounder there (at a number 8) is what I feel. You need someone who can bat and bowl. Whether that is a spinner or a fast bowler, other than Hardik Pandya I mean. It is what can fill the gap. Right now they don’t have any, but they have Ramandeep on the wings, which is why I am saying - bring him on to play.”
The second T20I which held on November 10, Sunday at the St. George’s Oval. At one point the Proteas were 66 for 6 and 86 for seven but it gets to 128 for seven as Varun Chakravarthy continued his international resurgence with a five-wicket haul which was 5/17. Stubbs and Gerald Coetzee played aggressive knocks which helped the team to win the match.
The four-match series is now 1-1. The Proteas victory in the second T20I broke India’s 11-match winning streak. Team India will play its third match of the series against South Africa on November 13, Wednesday at the SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium.
