Kohli Frustrated by Fans as Family Waits at Mumbai Airport

The veteran Indian batsman Virat Kohli was spotted at Mumbai airport before taking off for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, fans’ demands for selfies made Kohli irritated because they kept his wife Anushka Sharma and kids waiting.

India is set to face Australia in the five-match test series this month, starting November 22. The test series will be very crucial for the Indian team, as they will look to make a comeback from their historic 0-3 whitewash against New Zealand and try to reach the World Test Championship final for the third consecutive time. India can’t afford to lose another match and have more than one draw if they want to reach the WTC final.

The Indian team has to leave for Perth in two batches on November 10 and 11, respectively. When Kohli arrived at the Mumbai airport, he first urged the paparazzi to not capture his wife with the children. However, soon the Indian veteran was surrounded with his fans, who kept on requesting selfies, which annoyed him as his family was waiting inside the airport. Kohli was heard saying, “Family ko rok ke thodi hi na photo lunga tum logon ke sath.”

2024 has so far not been good for Kohli in terms of his cricket performances. He has been constantly struggling in the test format. His poor performances were most notably seen in the embarrassing 0-3 whitewash against New Zealand in the home series. This year, Kohli has just scored 250 runs in 12 innings at an average of just 22.78. In the test series against New Zealand, Kohli managed to score just 93 runs at an average of 15.50, which is his worst average in a home series in the last seven years.

The upcoming series against Australia is going to be a huge test for “King Kohli,” who is struggling from poor form. Even so, Kohli is anticipated to bounce back when he faces one of his favorite opponents. In 13 games in Australia, Kohli has amassed 1352 runs at an average of 54.08.
