Team India gets a new coach, BCCI's shocking decision before South Africa tour

The Indian cricket team is currently playing a Test series against New Zealand, off which two matches are already played. New Zealand defeated India in both the matches and clinched the series. The third match will start on November 1 in Mumbai. Amid the ongoing series against New Zealand the BCCI has taken a big decision. The Indian Cricket Board has taken this decision regarding the head coach. The BCCI can appoint a new coach for Team India's next tour. After the New Zealand series, the Indian team is set to go on a tour in South Africa, where they have to play a four-match T20 series. The team has also been announced for this series, but Gautam Gambhir will not go as a coach on this tour. He is replaced by NCA chief VVS. Laxman, who will take over the responsibility of coach.

According to Cricbuzz's report, Laxman will be sent as the head coach on the tour of South Africa. A senior BCCI official has confirmed this to Cricbuzz. The coaching staff will also include new people with them. Sairaj Bahutule, Hrishikesh Kanitkar and Subhadip Ghosh will also be part of the coaching staff for the South Africa tour. All of them recently went to the ACC Emerging Asia Cup with India-A. This decision was taken because Gambhir will go on Australia tour where Team India will play a five-match Test series. After the New Zealand series, Gambhir will be preparing for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, so Laxman is going to be sent to South Africa in his place.

The Senior Selection Committee headed by Ajit Agarkar has announced the team for the tour of South Africa, which includes three new faces. Yash Dayal, Ramandeep Singh and Vijay Kumar have got a place in the team. Harshit Rana, Washington Sundar, Nitish Reddy, who were part of the T20 team during the Bangladesh series, have not been selected in the team as all of them have been selected for the Test series.
