Players who have hit most sixes for India in T20 Format

T20 cricket is the shortest format of the game and it requires destructive batters who smash quick runs for their team. In this format, most batters prioritize scoring fast runs instead of scoring big. The strike rate is the most important thing for a batsman in the 20 over format. The game has seen several players playing cameo innings that help their team put up big totals on the board. Hitting huge boundaries is the biggest requirement in the T20 format.  Virat Kohli - 124 Sixes 

The Run Machine Virat Kohli has hit 124 sixes in 117 T20 innings for India till now. He is one of the most consistent players in the Indian team, with an average of 48.69. Virat has led India to win numerous games. Kohli recorded 4,188 runs in T20 format, which included 39 fifties. “King Kohli” was part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup in June 2024. After winning the T20 trophy, Kohli announced his retirement from the format. 

Suryakumar Yadav - 139 sixes

The current T20 skipper of the Indian team has so far hit 139 sixes for the format in just 69 innings. The 360 degree batter has impressive abilities to score runs and be unpredictable for the bowler. He makes it difficult for the opposition to set fields for him. SKY has four T20 hundreds to his name and also has a brilliant average of 42.43. He currently ranks second in the T20 format batting rankings. 

Rohit Sharma- 205 sixes

The Hitman Rohit Sharma leads the list for most sixes hit by an Indian batsman in the T20s. Rohit Sharma has hit 205 sixes in 151 innings. Interestingly, Rohit also leads the overall chart for most sixes in T20I. Rohit played an important role in changing the dynamics of Indian batting in T20s with his dominant approach at the top batting order. Rohit was also India’s top scorer and top six hitter in the T20 World Cup 2024 with 257 runs and 15 sixes. After winning the T20 world cup, Rohit announced his retirement from the format.
