Uttam Nagar Case Update: In the case of the murder of a young man in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, on Holi, the administration had carried out a bulldozer operation against the accused. The family of the accused has now approached the Delhi High Court. The Delhi High Court will hear the case on Tuesday.

The accused’s mother has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court challenging the bulldozer operation. The petitioner’s lawyer stated that the house of a co-accused in the case has been demolished and there is a possibility of their house being demolished as well.

Three Women Detained

Accused’s house was bulldozed on March 8th, while three women were detained on March 9th. According to Delhi Police, the women detained included Saira, Sharif, and Salma. Delhi Police has already arrested seven people, including a minor, in connection with the murder. The incident occurred on Holi in JJ Colony, Uttam Nagar.

The victim’s family claims that an 11-year-old girl was playing Holi on her terrace. A balloon she threw fell and splashed color on a Muslim woman passing by. The girl’s family stated that they immediately apologized to the woman. Despite this, the woman created a ruckus, and her family and relatives also arrived.

It is alleged that the men surrounded 26-year-old Tarun Kumar and attacked him with cricket bats, sticks, and stones. The seriously injured Tarun Kumar was taken to the hospital, where he died on Thursday morning.

Tension in the area escalated significantly on Friday following Tarun’s death. Hindu organisations protested against the incident. The protesters blocked main roads, disrupting traffic. In view of the tension, many shops in the area were closed as a precaution.

Delhi administration has taken strict action in the matter. Apart from this, the police have registered a case against the accused and are busy arresting them.
