UP Budget 2026 Total Size: Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna on Tuesday presented a massive Budget of ₹9,12,696.35 crore for the financial year 2026–27 in the State Legislative Assembly, marking one of the largest financial outlays in the state’s history.
The Budget includes new schemes worth ₹43,565.33 crore, reflecting the government’s push toward accelerated development and inclusive growth. Presenting the proposals in the House, Khanna emphasized that special provisions have been made to strengthen the rural economy and enhance farmers’ income, signaling a strong focus on agriculture and village-centric development.
In a major step toward technology-driven growth, the government also announced the launch of a ‘New and Emerging Technology Mission’ in the state. To support the digital ecosystem, plans have been unveiled to set up a Data Authority as well as Data Centre Clusters across Uttar Pradesh — a move aimed at positioning the state as a hub for innovation and next-generation technology.
With a blend of rural empowerment and tech expansion, the UP Budget 2026–27 lays out an ambitious roadmap for economic growth and modernization.
UP Budget 2026 Total Size: Tech Youth Samarth Youth Scheme
- Suresh Khanna said that AI Mission and ‘Tech Yuva Samarth Yuva Yojana’ will be started to promote Artificial Intelligence.
- There is a plan to provide training and opportunities to the youth in emerging technologies.
- In the energy sector, provision has been made to convert diesel based tube wells to solar energy based in a phased manner.
- There will be emphasis on training the youth by increasing the capacity of skill development training centres.
UP Sector Wise Budget 2026: Investment in industry and technology
- Promotion of the state along with investment in industry and technology.
- The state holds a leading position in the country in the agricultural sector. He pointed out that Uttar Pradesh ranks first in wheat and potato production.
- Agriculture export hubs will be developed in the state with the aim of increasing the income of farmers and connecting the agriculture sector with the global market.
UP Budget Amount 2026: Plan to open skill development centers
- The Finance Minister said that the per capita income in the state has registered a steady increase and the flow of investment has increased.
- Extensive training programs will be conducted to connect the youth with employment.
- There is also a plan to open separate special skill development centres for women.
- To promote industrial development, a provision of Rs 575 crore has been made for the new scheme of ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone’.

- ‘Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme’ will be started with the aim of providing self-employment opportunities to the youth.
- The state government has also announced to take big steps in the field of digital infrastructure.
- Eight data centre parks will be established in the state, whose total capacity has been fixed at 900 MW.
- This initiative is being taken with the aim of attracting IT and technology based investments.
