A home that was filled with laughter and light moments earlier was suddenly engulfed in silence. A young man jokingly called his wife a monkey, which deeply hurt her. She went into her room and, in a state of distress, took her own life. When the family checked, they were horrified. She was rushed to the hospital, but doctors confirmed her death. The police carried out a post-mortem and later handed the body over to the family.

This incident occurred in the Takrohi area under the jurisdiction of the Indiranagar police station. According to the police, Tannu Singh lived with her husband, Rahul Singh, in Indiranagar Sector-14. She was involved in the modeling industry and was very sensitive about her profession. Tannu’s sister, Anjali, stated that the family had returned from a relative’s house in Sitapur on Wednesday evening. After reaching home, they were sitting together in a room, joking around, when Rahul called his wife a “monkey.” Hurt and upset by the remark, Tannu left for another room, while Rahul stepped out to get some food.

Later, when Rahul returned home, he knocked on Tannu’s door to call her, but there was no response. Peering through the window, he was horrified to see Tannu hanging from a cloth noose in the ventilator. She was immediately taken down and rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
