On Friday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) unveiled its fifth list of candidates for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, nominating Mahender Chaudhary for the Mehrauli constituency. This announcement comes after the party’s fourth list, released on December 15, which featured 38 candidates.

The list includes some notable figures, such as AAP’s national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who will run from New Delhi, and current Chief Minister Atishi, who will contest the Kalkaji seat. Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj will aim for re-election from Greater Kailash, while Minister Gopal Rai will compete from Babarpur.

Other significant candidates are Satyendra Kumar Jain from Shakur Basti, Durgesh Pathak from Rajinder Nagar, and Raghuvinder Shokeen from Nangloi Jat.

Furthermore, AAP has put forward new candidates including Ramesh Pehalwan for Kasturba Nagar and Pooja Naresh Balyan, the spouse of BJP leader Naresh Balyan, who will run from Uttam Nagar.

The Balyans became members of AAP on December 15 with Arvind Kejriwal in attendance.

This is the most recent candidate announcement from AAP. Previously, the party released its third list on December 13, featuring Tarun Yadav for the Najafgarh Assembly seat, and its second list on December 9, which replaced 17 sitting MLAs with new candidates.
