State Support Initiative: Bhagwant Singh Mann urged families of those stranded to contact 0172-2260042, 0172-2260043, or WhatsApp +91 94787 79112 for immediate assistance, appealed to Union Government for urgent intervention to ensure safe return of Punjabis stuck in the war-affected Gulf region, and assured that the Punjab Government is in constant coordination with the Centre while standing shoulder to shoulder with the affected families and students.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced the launch of a 24-hour helpline to assist Punjabis stranded in parts of the Middle East in light of the escalating tensions and war-like situation there. He said that affected families can call 0172-2260042 and 0172-2260043 or send a message to WhatsApp on +91 94787 79112 for immediate assistance.

The Chief Minister stated that the state government is in constant contact with the Indian government to ensure the safe and speedy return of those stranded. He clarified that the Punjab government is closely monitoring the situation and is committed to providing all possible assistance to those affected.

Assuring full support to the affected families, the Chief Minister said, “Many Punjabis are facing severe hardships due to the tense situation in Arab countries. If anyone or their family member is stranded there, they should immediately contact the helpline numbers provided. The state government is fully prepared to assist them.”

 He informed that a dedicated helpline and control room have been set up for this purpose, which will operate 24×7. Information received will be immediately relayed to the relevant departments and the Government of India to expedite the relief and evacuation process.

Reiterating the government’s commitment, Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “We are committed to providing all necessary assistance to the stranded people as soon as possible. No family needs to panic—the Punjab government stands firmly with them in this difficult time.”

Expressing solidarity with the families of youth, workers, and students stranded in Gulf countries, he said the state government stands shoulder to shoulder with them in this hour of crisis and will ensure support at every level.

The Chief Minister appealed to the Government of India to take immediate and effective steps for the safe return of stranded Punjabis and other Indian citizens in view of the evolving situation in the Middle East. He expressed hope that the central government would ensure the safe return of all those stranded in the war-affected areas through necessary diplomatic and administrative efforts.
