She was brought to the hospital around 10 pm after suddenly falling ill. A special team of doctors is currently monitoring her condition. Difficulty in breathing led to hospitalisation

Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, stated that Sonia Gandhi was experiencing difficulty breathing. Investigations revealed that her bronchial asthma had become more active due to the cold weather and rising pollution. As a precautionary measure, doctors decided to admit her to the hospital for continuous monitoring and proper treatment.

According to a health bulletin issued by the hospital, Sonia Gandhi’s condition is currently completely stable. Doctors say she is responding well to treatment. She is being given antibiotics and other necessary supportive medications. Doctors say her clinical condition is improving, and if everything goes well, she may be discharged from the hospital in a day or two.

This is not the first time Sonia Gandhi has been hospitalised due to health reasons. For the past few years, she has been undergoing regular medical check-ups and treatment due to age-related health problems. This is also why she has appeared only occasionally at public events.
