Shocking School Incident: Case of allegedly beating a seventh-grade student at a primary school in Chunheti village, Rampur Maniharan area of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, went viral. It is reported that during the lunch break, while children were playing, a football got hit to a teacher’s son after which the student who threw ball was beaten by the angry teacher. After a video of the injured student went viral, the matter has reached to local police and education department. The family alleges that child was choked, slapped, and dragged by the teacher, causing him to faint and somehow reach home in a distraught state.

The family members of the victim child has demanded police for strict action, by showing the marks on the child’s face and neck. Villagers are also deeply outraged by the incident. They say that misconduct by teacher is increasing in government school, and violent behaviour against young children has become commonplace. Villagers allege that families who send their children to school in the hope of a safe environment are constantly losing their trust. The victim’s family has demanded teacher’s immediate suspension and strict legal action.
Viral video prompts for investigation into the case
Komal Kumari, a district basic education officer confirmed about the incident and stated that she has been informed about the viral video and the parent’s complaint. This case belong to the upper primary School, Chunheti Gada, located in the Baliyakheri block, where the teacher is accused for beating a child. She mentioned that investigation is handed over to the Block Education officer, and after allegation gets proved, strict action will be taken against the teacher.
After an administrative review, this case now poses a serious challenge to the safety of children in government schools and the accountability of teachers. The police stated that we have given the investigation report o this entire matter to the Block Education officer, and strict action will be taken against concerned person.
