Saudi Oil Tanker Mumbai: Amid rising tensions in the Gulf areas, the Tanker named as Shenlong carrying 1.35 lakh metric tonnes of Saudi Arabian crude oil crossed from the Strait of Hormuz and reaches to the Mumbai ports safely.

Due to increase in the tensions among the Gulf countries, a large sized tanker carrying Saudi Arabian crude oil arrived at the Ports of Mumbai. This ship crossed the Strait of Hormuz and reached to India, while proving some relief to the concerns about fuel supplies. According to the reports, the Liberian-flagged oil tanker, name Shenlong (Suezmax).

Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, a large tanker carrying Saudi Arabian crude oil has safely arrived in Mumbai. The ship crossed the Strait of Hormuz and reached India, providing some relief to concerns about fuel supplies. According to reports, the Liberian-flagged oil tanker, Shenlong (Suezmax), departed Saudi Arabia carrying approximately 135,335 metric tons of crude oil. The ship is operated by Athens-based company Dynacom Tankers Management.

Oil Tankers is managed by the Athen-based company Dynacom Tankers Management, which was successfully  navigated from the conflict zone of Strait of Hormuz before docking at Mumbai port.

After reaching to the Mumbai, crude oil carried by the vessel is expected to be delivered to the oil refineries located in Mahul, which resides in the eastern Mumbai area. This area is an important refining hub that plays a significant role in supporting India’s fuel supply network.

Strait of Hormuz Crisis: Strategic-Measures were employed to Cross Risk Zone

According to the reports, ship’s captain temporarily turned off the Automatic Identification System of the Vessel while it was sailing through the high-risk area near the Strait of Hormuz. This step brought a precautionary measure to lower the chances of the ship being detected while sailing in water impacted by the tensions involving in Iran, United States and Israel. This tanker later reappeared on maritime tracking system ion March 9 and finally reached to Mumbai on March 11.
