Sanjay Singh FIR: In Kashi, where faith resides in every particle, questions are now being raised about whether the voice raised in defence of religion is making the ruling power uncomfortable. Sanjay Singh alleges that during the BJP government’s tenure, temples, Shiva shrines, and the statue of the devout ruler Ahilyabai Holkar, located on the banks of the Ganges, were damaged. He has called this a direct attack on the faith of Hinduism. Sanjay Singh says that when he raised this issue, instead of taking action against the culprits, an FIR was registered against him.

Manikarnika Ghat is not just a place, but the foundation of Hindu faith. This ghat was constructed in the 18th century by Ahilyabai Holkar. It is believed that performing the last rites here leads to salvation. Allegations of vandalism at such a sacred site have caused deep anger among sadhus, local people, and devotees.

The sadhus of Kashi protested, Ahilyabai Holkar’s family raised their voice, and even former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan registered her objection. Despite this, action was taken against the leader who brought the issue to light.

Sanjay Singh has clearly stated that he is not afraid of these lawsuits. He says that if temples are broken and statues are vandalised, remaining silent is a sin. He has demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath take strict action against those who damaged the temples, instead of intimidating those who raise questions.

Aam Aadmi Party has taken a clear stance on this entire matter. The party’s national media in-charge, Anurag Dhanda, said that if protesting against the BJP’s act of demolishing temples at Manikarnika Ghat is a crime, then it shows that BJP has now resorted to crushing the sentiments of Hindus. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party has never been afraid and will not be afraid in the future.

Today, from the streets of Kashi to social media, the same question is echoing: Why is the government silent when temples are damaged, and why are FIRs filed against those who speak up for faith? The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) positions itself as a defender of Hindu faith on this issue and presents Sanjay Singh as a leader who has stood up for religion and public sentiment despite pressure from those in power. This is not just about one FIR, but about faith, history, and the trust of the people, which cannot be suppressed.
