Police said Sahil died in a road accident in Dwarka, Delhi, when his motorcycle was hit by a car driven by an unlicensed minor. Following the incident, which occurred on February 3, 2026, the 23-year-old’s mother made an emotional appeal on social media, demanding justice for her son, as the juvenile driver accused in the case has been granted interim bail by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB).

Victim’s mother wrote, “I lost my only son, Sahil Dhaneshra, a young and extremely talented boy over 22 years old, whom I raised and cared single-handedly for 23 years. But he was brutally murdered by an unlicensed car driver and his sister while making speed fun reels in Dwarka.” The incident occurred near Lal Bahadur Shastri College in Dwarka South. According to preliminary investigation, the car reportedly collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction and then rammed into another parked car.

According to Delhi Police, an FIR was registered at the Dwarka South police station under sections 281/106*(1)/125*(pi) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused driver, a minor, did not have a driving license and was arrested at the scene. As a minor, he was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and sent to an observation home. On February 10, 2026, the Juvenile Justice Board granted him interim bail on the basis of his Class 10 board exams.
