Prayagraj Trainee Plane Crash: A training microlight aircraft of the Indian Air Force lost control during a flight in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and crashed into a pond behind KP College in the heart of the city. The crash was accompanied by a loud explosion-like sound, causing panic among the residents. Local people immediately informed the police and the administration.

According to reports, the aircraft initially took off normally, but within moments, it lost control and rapidly descended, crashing into the pond behind KP College. Two pilots were on board the aircraft at the time of the incident. The loud explosion-like sound attracted a crowd of local residents to the scene. Four people immediately jumped into the pond and pulled the pilots out of the aircraft.
DCP Manish Kumar Shandilya said that an Air Force microlight two-seater aircraft was returning after taking off from Sangam when it suddenly lost control and crashed into a pond behind KP College. Two pilots were on board, both of whom are completely safe. No civilians were injured at the scene.

DCP said that as soon as the information was received, police and fire brigade teams immediately reached the spot and cordoned off the area. Local police and other rescue teams were also present at the scene. The promptness and courage of the local residents saved the pilots’ lives at the time of the accident. The DCP said that further action is being taken and the Air Force is also investigating the accident. The aircraft was on a routine training flight, and the incident happened very suddenly.

A local resident reported hearing a loud explosion-like sound around 12:15 PM. Looking outside, he saw that the aircraft had crashed into a pond. Nearby residents immediately jumped into the water and together rescued both pilots, neither of whom sustained serious injuries.
