Veer Bal Diwas 2025: Veer Bal Diwas is being celebrated today, Friday. On this occasion, Shravan Singh, a brave boy who delivered water, tea, milk, and lassi to Indian soldiers during Operation Sindoor, was honoured with a children’s award. President Droupadi Murmu presented Shravan Singh with the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award. On December 26, 2025, Veer Bal Diwas program was organised at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the event where he interacted with children who had received bravery awards.

President Droupadi Murmu presented Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award to 20 children from 18 states and Union Territories, recognising their exceptional achievements and contributions in various fields, including art, culture, sports, and innovation. President Murmu also blessed the awardees. One of the recipients told news agency IANS that he received award in the innovation category for two innovations. He said, “I have created two AI software applications that help paralysed patients with finger and hand movements. These have also been patented and copyrighted by the Government of India.”

Vaibhav Suryavanshi also received ‘National Children’s Award’

Another name has been added to the list of award recipients. Vaibhav, a resident of Bihar, has also received an award. Vaibhav is rapidly emerging as an explosive batsman on the international stage. President Droupadi Murmu honoured Vaibhav with the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award on Friday.

Over the past year, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has impressed cricket fans worldwide with his batting performances in every format, both domestically and internationally. He was chosen for this honour in recognition of his exceptional batting talent and performance. Due to the award ceremony, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is currently in Delhi. Because of his presence in Delhi, he is not part of Bihar team playing against Manipur in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match in Ranchi.

December 26th is celebrated as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ (Brave Children’s Day). On this occasion, Prime Minister presents the National Children’s Award to children who have demonstrated exceptional talent in fields such as bravery, art and culture, environment, innovation, science and technology, social service, and sports. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced on January 9, 2022, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, that December 26th would be observed as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ in memory of the martyrdom of his sons, Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh.

On one side of that battle was Tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and on the other side was cruel rule of Aurangzeb.
