Patna Hostel Gun Firing: A major incident has been reported from Sulranganj police station area of Patna. Where a large-scale bombing and shooting incident happened on late night Tuesday, at the CV Raman Hostel. Bombing and firing by students at the hostel caused widespread panic in the area and after receiving the information about the incident police arrived at the scene where officials launched an investigation.
Two injured as Jackson hostel students attack CV Raman Hostel over harassment dispute
It is being reported that this incident was carried out by students from Jackson Hostel, is causing chaos in that entire area. According to the sources, students from Jackson Hostel detonated i.e. set off four crude bombs and fired several rounds of bullets within the hostel premises. Where police officials recovered a live cartridge from the scene. Several motorcycles were parked at the CV Raman Hostel were also damaged during the bombing. While clear marks of bombs and bullets were found on the walls and in the rooms.
Two students were injured in the incident and have been admitted to PMCH (Patna Medical College Hospital) for medical treatment. This incident was found to be linked with an altercation that began when students from Jackson Hostel allegedly harassed a female student near the Krishna Ghat in peerbahore police station area. This dispute was escalated, and students attacked on CV Raman hostel from Jackson hostel on late Tuesday night.
Patna crime news: Dispute arose over molestation of a female student
According to the reports, a female student was molested by students of Jackson Hostel near Krishna Ghat in the Pirabahore police station area. And while she protested as dispute erupted between students which injured two students who are admitted to PMCH for medical treatment. After which students from Jackson Hostel attacked CV Raman Hostel late Tuesday night.
Patna Hostel Gun Firing: Police launch investigation
Upon receiving information about the incident, SSP of Patna, ASP of Patna City, and police from Sultanganj and Pirbahore police stations reached the spot and brought situation under control. A forensic team from the FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) has also been called in for investigation. A raid is underway at Jackson Hostel, and several students are being identified. Currently, there is a tense atmosphere in the area, but police say situation is completely under control.
