Mirzapur Train Accident: According to the police officials the victims were trying to cross the platform through the tracks, when the incident took place.

6 women were killed after being run over by a train, when they were crossing the tracks at Chunar railway Station, Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. According to the information the incident took place round 9.30 am on Wednesday. The Chopan-Prayagraj passenger train arrives at Chunar railway station when the incident took place. The passengers got down from the train on the opposite side from their main platform and were trying to go to their platform when the incident happened.

Mirzapur Train Accident 

As per police statement, the women were crossing the platform and trying to go to their main platform and were unaware by the approaching Kalka Express. The Kalka Express was on high speed and hitted the passengers before the victims could have reacted, which lead to their death.

All sic victims are identified by Additional Director General (Railways) Prakash D. they all were the residents of Mirzapur, district. The families of the victims have been informed about the incident.

Mirzapur Train Tragedy

This accident resulted to cause immense panicking situation among the passengers at the railway station,  whereas the police officers and the railway officials runner immediately to the spot to provide rescue and relief operations. Senior officials also reached to the site and supervise the situation and to ensure that the bodies were sent to post-mortem examination for further investigation.
