Mehrauli Nangloi Encounter: During patrolling in Delhi, a fierce firefight broke out between Delhi Police and a group of wanted criminals in the Nangloi area early Saturday morning, in which three criminals were injured. Outer Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sachin Sharma said that two days ago also the same group had also fired on the police team. Police retaliated, but the accused managed to escape. But in the second exchange of fire, three out of four criminals were injured and were later caught.

Officials said all the injured accused have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a brief exchange of fire took place between the Delhi Police and wanted criminal Koku Pahariya in the Mehrauli area on Saturday morning, in which the accused was injured. During the encounter, two police personnel were hit by bullets on their bulletproof jackets, while a constable sustained injuries in his hand.

The encounter occurred when a police team was attempting to intercept Koku Pahariya after receiving specific information about his activities. The accused opened fire on the police team in an attempt to escape, prompting the police to retaliate.

After being shot, Pahariya was subdued and immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition is reported to be stable. Senior officials have confirmed that the accused has a criminal history and is wanted in several cases, including arms supply. Further investigation is underway.
