It is worth noting that this strict action was taken by BJP District President Purushottam Chitlange. He stated that contesting elections against the party’s authorised candidates is an act of indiscipline and such anti-party activities will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This decision had become necessary to maintain the strength of the organisation and the unity of the party. The suspension action has been taken against several office-bearers from the district to the city level. These include leaders from the women’s wing, youth wing, and various other cells. According to party sources, these leaders were initially warned to maintain discipline, but despite this, they filed nominations against the party’s official candidates.
