Ludhiana News: Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries, S. Ravneet Singh Bittu, inaugurated a newly constructed railway healthcare facility in Ludhiana today. This modern centre has been established to provide better healthcare services to railway employees and their families. Built at a cost of approximately ₹7.5 crore, the health centre covers an area of ​​1,800 square meters. The centre is a G+1 structure and features several modern facilities.

Ludhiana News: Major facilities are as follows

The G+1 structure will have 06 OPDs, a 4-bedded ward, emergency facilities including sterilisation & dressing rooms, a pharmacy & local purchase, passenger and stretcher lifts, waiting lobby facilities at 3 locations with SS benches, a conference room, separate staff and male/female toilets, an VRV air conditioning system, a well-furnished double-height lobby area, 2 & 4-wheeler and ambulance parking, green areas developed outside the hospital, a PME Dark Room facility, an X-ray room with a dark room, a laboratory facility and a medical record room.

Status of health services in Firozpur division

Giving a brief about the medical facilities in Firozpur Division, Ravneet Singh said that at present, Firozpur Division has one divisional hospital at Firozpur, one sub-divisional hospital in Amritsar and 6 Health units with a total strength of 34 doctors. A total of 69 beds are available in Firozpur Divisional Hospital, which provides medical services in various specialities like medicine, general surgery, gynaecology, orthopaedics, pathology, anaesthesia & dental.

Punjab News: Other Hospitals and Panel Facilities

The hospital has a well-equipped laboratory, a physiotherapy unit, a computerised radiographic system and a modular operating theatre. A 50-bed hospital is operational in Amritsar, along with health units in Ludhiana, Jalandhar City, Jalandhar Cantt and Kapurthala. Furthermore, 51 private hospitals and 16 diagnostic centres have been empanelled to provide emergency care to railway beneficiaries.
