Lionel Messi Vantara Visit: Lionel Messi, one of the most sensational players in the world of football, is currently in India as part of his “Got India Tour.” After visiting Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi, Messi went to Vantara, wildlife sanctuary created by Anant Ambani. There, he was seen worshipping Lord Shiva. He applied a tilak on his forehead, wore a rudraksha mala around his neck, and offered milk to the Shivling. Not only that, Messi also chanted the ‘Om’ mantra for some time.

Argentinian football legend Lionel Messi visited India during his GOAT tour. After visiting Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Delhi, he traveled to Vanatara in Jamnagar, Gujarat, at the invitation of Anant Ambani. Vanatara is a wildlife rescue center dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation of animals. Messi was welcomed there according to Indian traditions. At Vanatara, he saw various wild animals and also offered prayers at a temple, seeking blessings.

Messi and his two teammates were welcomed with traditional folk music, a shower of flowers, and a grand aarti (a Hindu religious ritual). This warm welcome deeply impressed Messi. He then visited the Big Cat Care Center, where he saw lions, leopards, and tigers up close in their natural habitat. Several tigers were seen approaching Messi curiously. He also took pictures with the animals.

At the Vantara foster care center, Messi also heard stories about the rehabilitation of orphaned and vulnerable wild animals. During this visit, Anant Ambani and Radhika Ambani named a lion cub “Lionel,” a touching and symbolic gesture in honor of Messi. A particularly memorable moment of the visit was when Messi played football with Maniklal, a rescued baby elephant, at the elephant care center. This scene captivated everyone present.
