Kuldeep Sengar daughter speaks out: The Unnao rape case is once again a major topic of discussion in the country. Demands for justice for the victim have intensified, from street protests to social media campaigns. Amidst this, Aishwarya Sengar, the daughter of the convicted former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, has made a significant claim. She stated that her father is innocent and has done nothing wrong.

Aishwarya said that if her father had even looked at the victim inappropriately, he should be given the death penalty. Aishwarya Sengar’s statement comes after the Delhi High Court recently suspended Sengar’s life sentence and granted him bail, a decision that sparked widespread protests. On Monday, the Supreme Court stayed the High Court’s order.

‘Facts of the Case are being Ignored’

In an interview with IANS, Aishwarya Sengar said that they have had complete faith in the judiciary for the past eight years. “We are carrying all the evidence with us. If anyone can show any evidence that my father even looked at the victim inappropriately, then give him the death penalty,” she said. “The facts of this case are being continuously ignored.” She claimed that the victim has repeatedly changed her account of the time of the incident. She also stated that the CBI has obtained call detail records (CDRs) which prove that her father was not at the scene of the crime. All the evidence and documents are available.

Unnao Rape Case: One-Sided Narrative on Social Media

She said that a separate battle is being fought on social media. “Everyone is looking at the victim’s side, but no one is looking at our side and what we are going through,” she said. “From social media to the streets, we are being portrayed negatively. My father is being called powerful, even though he has been expelled from the party. Only we know what our family is going through and how much we have to endure today. As a lawyer, I am assisting senior lawyers in this case.”

Regarding the High Court’s decision, she said that after eight years, there was a moment when they felt some relief. “The High Court gave its decision based on legal points, and all the points were discussed there. We have faith in the court.” She appealed, asking why people’s sentiments are only on one side.

‘Victim is just making up stories’

She refuted the victim’s statement claiming that she faces a threat to her life from Kuldeep Sengar’s family. Aishwarya Sengar said that the victim is just making up stories, while she is under CRPF protection. They don’t want my father to come back, but we would never harm them. I read on social media that we orchestrated the accident. However, the investigation report clearly stated that it was a natural accident. No witness has died. These are just the words of one person.

Kuldeep Sengar Rape Case: All this was done for revenge

Aishwarya said that I firmly believe that my father had to pay the price for being in the BJP. If my father even looked at that girl with ill intent, he should be given the death penalty. We are ordinary people. The victim’s family is also powerful. We are from the same village. Her uncle is a history-sheeter who attacked my uncle in 2010 and then absconded. He returned after 16 years, and a dispute arose over the village head election. All this was done for revenge. If my father hadn’t been in politics, justice would have been served a long time ago.

She further said that I also have some evidence, based on which we can strongly present our case. We have not done anything wrong. When the investigation in this case began, my father demanded a narco test, but the victim’s side refused. CDRs and photos are available that prove my father was not at the scene. The victim’s side is just making up stories.
