The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Mathura has registered a complaint against him regarding objectionable remarks he made about women. The court will record complainant’s statement on January 1, 2026, which could further complicate matters for the Kathavachak.
Legal troubles of religious preacher Swami Aniruddhacharya Maharaj, who is surrounding in controversy due to objectionable comments about women, have intensified. In Mathura court, Uttar Pradesh, presided over by Chief judicial Magistrate (CJM) Utsav Raj Gaurav, has been accepted formally and also registered petition against him. Legal process will now go forward, and religious leader will have to present his case in court.
What was the statement that caused controversy?

This entire controversy is due to a viral video on social media in October. In this video, Swami Aniruddhacharya was seen making objectionable remarks about daughters. He said, “Nowadays, daughters get married at the age of 25, and by then they have had multiple relationship with men.” As soon as this statement went viral, widespread protests began. Various organisations and the general public objected to this comment, calling this a direct attack on the dignity of women. Swami Aniruddhacharya gave clarification on this.
