Jamshedpur Encounter: A fierce encounter took place late Thursday night between police and three criminals involved in the kidnapping of Kairav Gandhi, the son of an industrialist, in Jamshedpur. All three criminals were injured in the encounter and have been admitted to MGM Hospital for treatment. The encounter occurred between 2:30 and 3:00 AM near Sai Temple in Bistupur police station area.

According to the police, the three accused were taken to the scene to recover weapons. During this time, the accused attempted to snatch a carbine from a constable and opened fire on the police. To control the situation, the police retaliated, resulting in the three criminals being shot in the legs.

Bistupur Police Station In-Charge Alok Dubey was also fired upon during the encounter, but he narrowly escaped unhurt. Jamshedpur City SP Kumar Shivashish stated that the police acted in self-defence.
The injured criminals have been identified as Guddu Singh, Mohammad Imran, and Ramiz Raja. All three are reportedly residents of Gaya and Nalanda districts in Bihar and are the main accused in the Kairav Gandhi kidnapping case. According to the police, these accused had been absconding since the kidnapping and were hiding with weapons.

Other weapons, including a carbine, were recovered from the encounter site. Police say that further important revelations related to the kidnapping are expected during the interrogation of the accused.
It is noteworthy that Kairav Gandhi, the son of a prominent industrialist, was kidnapped in Jamshedpur a few days ago. After about 13 days, the Jamshedpur police successfully rescued him. Since then, continuous action has been taken against the gang involved in the kidnapping.
Following the encounter, City SP stated that the search for other accomplices involved in the case is ongoing and a thorough investigation of the entire incident is being conducted.
